Struisbaai is a quaint little town situated close to the most southern tip of Africa near L’Agulhas. The harbor in Struisbaai is the most southern harbor in Africa and it is from here where the charter boat operates from.
Get on board the fully rigged out charter boat “Three J’s” and enjoy a half or full day of game fishing.
The boat “Three J’s” is a 25’ catamaran hulled boat, fitted with two 150 HP outboard motors and is SAMSA seaworthy certified to carry two (crew) plus four passengers, up to 40 nautical miles offshore. |

Along the twenty kilometer stretch of white beaches from the harbor to Arniston Point, or when cruising around to the most southern Light House in Africa at L’Agulhas you may even spot some sunfish or dolphins.
Fishing which consist mainly of “trolling” for game fish takes place at either the Three-, the Six - and Twelve Mile Bank or in perfect weather a day trip to the Alphard Banks or the “45’s”. |

Game fish species targeted, consists of yellowtail, yellow fin tuna, bonito, skipjack, dorado and marlin. These species are mainly caught during the summer months (November March).
No reef and or bottom fishing will be undertaken.
Tuna fishing (Yellowfin and Longfin) trips to the “Canyon” approximately 30 nautical miles off Cape Point departing out of Gordons Bay Harbor is also offered, from April June. |
